Bryce Canyon is one of those places that no matter how much you heard about it, no matter how many pictures you may have seen you end up awestruck by its beauty. With its colorful hoodoos (tall thin spires of rock), it is a photographer’s dream.

A legend of the Paiute Indians, who inhabited the area for hundreds of years before the arrival of European Americans, claims the colorful hoodoos are ancient "Legend People" who were turned to stone as punishment for bad deeds.
