Many of the public primary schools are operated by Buddhist monasteries. Thailand has one of the highest literacy rates in Southeast Asia. I chose this photo because I like the difference in expression the pupils have to the teacher. One finds him very funny the other very boring. To get this shot I made myself inconspicuous by standing behind the blackboard and pretending to take photos of a statue.
