Altea is a beautiful fishing village not destroyed by skyscrapers and tourists like its neighbors Benidorm and Alicante. Luckily local law forbids building more than six plants so there is little danger of the town changing anytime soon. The town is set on a hill so the views from restaurants and bars of the Mediterranean are fantastic, but even better was the view from our hotel roof.
