Sighisoara is a well preserved medieval German town not far from Dracula’s castle in Transylvania. One of its claims to fame is that the Wallachian prince, Vladimir the Impaler, was born here in the 15th century. Despite its bloody connotations, the town is a beautiful and peaceful historical gem.
