The story that summed up Norway the best for me was of the Kings visit to Fjærlandsfjord many years ago. He was exploring an ice cave when one of the locals pulled him out telling him that they are very dangerous. Seconds later the cave collapsed. The King was so pleased that the man saved his life he offered to donate money to help the poor. Since the town of Fjærlandsfjord had no poor people they built a statue in the Kings honour. Norway is the richest country in Europe and it shows.
