This painting, at the House of Vetti, shows Priapus weighing his phallus. This painting was intended to ward off the "evil eye" of those jealous of the wealth of the Vettis.

Images that are currently considered as erotic or even pornographic were commonplace in Pompeii. Penises symbolized wealth and virility. You can see them over doorways and pointing you in the direction of the local brothels.
