Ghost crabs are shy creatures. Unlike other crabs on the islands they don’t let you get very close. The smallest movement will scare them off. Lying on my stomach I stalked this little guy who dipped in and out of his nest unsure about me. I caught him with my camera a few times in his game of peek-a-boo.
