The most famous creature on the Galapagos Islands is the one they were named after. The giant Galapagos Tortoises haven’t changed much since the time of dinosaurs. They can live for a year without food or water and can live for as long as 150 years. They never stop growing their whole lives and can weigh as much as 550lbs.
