In the region of El Chaltén is the Fitz Roy at a height of 3.405 metres. The hike was made more difficult by the unbearably high winds. At times they were completely overpowering and almost blew me clean off the mountain. The Fitz Roy was covered in clouds for as long as I was there. Perhaps that was better; imagination is sometimes better than the real thing.
